Get Involved
MOST MEN ARRIVE in need of services to help them seek employment, handle practical and legal issues, get medical and dental care, and more. They need some time to acclimate to life without drugs and alcohol, life outside prison or jail, or life with new people and new opportunities. They may even need to handle basic tasks like replacing an ID card and Social Security card, which are needed to search for employment. It often takes 4-6 weeks for a new resident to secure employment and begin contributing financially to his recovery by paying $100 weekly, which is half the actual cost of his stay at Providence Home. He often also has other financial responsibilities to meet, such as child support, probation fees, and more.
YOU CAN HELP a man who is in this first phase (4-6 weeks), who is looking for a job yet needs some help to get a strong start to equip him for recovery and stability. Sponsoring a man during this first phase (4-6 weeks) with a $600 gift helps cover a portion of these costs for the first 6 weeks upon arrival. Your gift will encourage him to stay on the right path when it gets tough.
